Egypt is an Earth country located in Africa.

Overview[edit | edit source]

Egypt is a country located in North Africa. This country was one of the oldest civilisations on Earth, along with China, Greece and Babylone.

History[edit | edit source]

From 8,000 to 3,000 BC, Egypt was ruled by the Goa'uld Supreme System Lord Ra. During his reign, he took some Egyptians and transported them through the Stargate on a remote planet later known as Abydos. He used the other Egyptians as slaves to build monuments like the Great Pyramids, used to serve as landing paths for his mothership. Around 3,000 BC, a rebellion took place and Ra had to flee from Egypt and Earth (Stargate, SG1: "Moebius", Part 1, "Moebius", Part 2)

The Stargate remained in Giza, buried by the Egyptians. The Stargate DHD has been extracted by a German expedition before the 1928 discovery of the Stargate (SG1: "Watergate")
